Breakfast in the Bleachers

Join me for Breakfast in the Bleachers with Brett every Monday-Friday from 6:00-8:00 a.m. on 1480 KRAE. I'll be tackling all of the major local & national sports news of the day. I encourage you to be a part of the discussion each morning - you can reach me in studio at 307-514-1071 or email me at: brett@kyoy.net.

Along with my show in the morning, I will also be providing the play-by-play for Cheyenne Central, East & South High Schools during the football, basketball and baseball seasons.

In terms of my background - I graduated from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO with a degree in Finance & Marketing. After working some jobs that made me question my career path and my own sanity, I decided it was time for a change. I attended the Ohio Center for Broadcasting and told myself I would move anywhere to get my start in the radio business after I graduated. Well, anywhere turned out to be the tiny town of Winner, SD. I worked there for 2 years as the Sports Director. It was a good learning experience as I got to call high school play-by-play and host a Saturday morning coaches call-in show. In the summer of 2010, I took a job in Fort Dodge, IA as a Sports/News Director. I continued with play-by-play responsibilities for high school basketball, football, baseball, and softball. As the News Director I covered the state & local news for a 7 station cluster. It was another good learning experience for me which helped me land my current position here at KRAE.

So hop in the bleachers with me and let's digest everything going on in the sports world - from high school to the professional ranks, football to golf, and everything in between. I look forward to having a fun and lively discussion with you every Monday-Friday! Thanks for listening.

The Lay of the Land hosted by Pete Laybourn   The Bargain Hour hosted by John Mason

The Lay of the Land will be a local call-in program with a positive focus on public affairs. My name is Pete Laybourn and I am a Cheyenne native and a longtime activist and participant in local governmental activities.

With my background as a former Cheyenne city councilman, I have broad and detailed knowledge regarding the complexities and personalities of the region's politics.

As a downtown property manager, I have a particular interest in community growth, planning, and zoning, property values and historic preservation
I have been known as the "Father of the Greenway", and am passionate supporter and imitator of volunteerism and public involvement.

In an era of discord and division, "The Lay of the Land" strives to present civic dialogue across the spectrum with respect and attention to all points of view.

Cheyenne and Laramie County are currently facing a period of change and growth, while facing serious financial challenges. An active and informed public is essential to the community's future.

My contacts and sources will help listeners find the information they need to effectively participate in their government and society.

Tune in 8-9 am Monday through Friday for pleasant, informative and constructive overview of Cheyenne, Laramie County and the State of Wyoming.

Hi, I am John Mason and I will be the host of The Bargain Hour on 1480 KRAE. Just a little bit about me. I have over 15 years of experience across three different venues (flea makers, pawn shops, thrift stores) and find it has been very helpful for me to gain a wide base of knowledge into how the second hand market works.

I have also learned how to better manage cash and credit and get more "bang for the buck". In addition to owning businesses dealing in second hand, I also am knowledgeable about auctions, garage sales, and on-line marketing.

I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge and that of our listeners/callers to help my audience handle their monies better and get more "bang for their buck".

Please join me for The Bargain Hour every Saturday from 10-11 am where we can help you get the best deal possible.
